During the past year I have been regularly visiting the walled garden at Holkham Hall in North Norfolk where I have an artist's residency assisted by Norfolk County Council, The Holkham Estate and the Friends of Norwich Museums. I write a blog journal about the restoration work as well as my studio blog and have had three exhibitions of garden related art work. I am presently working on a set of paintings ready for an exhibition in April 2012 which will be hung in the 'potting shed gallery' in the walled garden.

I trained in art at Norwich City College and at the Norwich School of Art & Design and have a Masters Degree in Art, Design and Education. Alongside this formal training I have built up an an extensive portfolio of short course development including mural painting, life drawing, computer design and animation, work in acrylics, oils, watercolours and copper plate etching.

During 2011 I have run workshops in my studio and as part of the Kings Lynn festival, taken part in the Norwich Open Studio month, had three solo exhibitions and shown work with the Norwich 20 group in the Forum in Norwich city centre. During the summer I designed the set for Under Milk Wood that was performed at the Maddermarket Theatre in Norwich. I keep a link with the art college in Norwich by mentoring recent graduates.
